The
ties that bind a newspaper to its community are unique.
The quest for, and the giving of, information
are the driving forces of a democratic society.
It is the newspaper’s charge to tell the news fully and reliably,
whatever the ups and downs of its community or country;
so it is an instrument of democracy to be cherished — and always
improved.
We, the people of The Flint Journal, take pride in sharing
with our readers the story of our citizenship.
