Donald Moyer surveys the damage of the Beecher tornado. The storm killed 116 people in Mt. Morris Township, injured more than 900, destroyed at least 300 homes and seriously damaged 250 more. Damage was estimated at $10 million. It was the worst tragedy Genesee County had ever seen and the state’s deadliest tornado.
