The Flint Journal 125th anniversary coverage
chronicles the history of the newspaper, its people and its relationship
with the community since it started publishing April 5, 1876. Highlights
include a day in the life of the modern paper, a gallery of Journal
photographs and a look at the top 10 Journal stories of all time.
The coverage in print consisted of three special sections in the Sunday,
April 29, 2001, edition of The Journal, plus a Page One story that day
and special daily features throughout the week.
Jeff Johnston, assistant local news editor for Sunday, coordinated the
coverage.
The online version of the 125th anniversary project was designed by
Presentation Editor Michael Robb and produced by designer Amanda Barnes.
